Feeling ungrounded and numb.
It all started since this year April month when I went into deep meditation and spirituality at that time I was so much involved into the other worldly beings and gods that I forgot who im. I got numb from within and so ungrounded slowly that I wasnt able to notice the changes that slowly took within me.I wasnt able to focus on anything. I was doing my job but it was like physically present but mentally absent and the others were also as if affected by my changes.I can tell it was so divine and unrealistic yet felt real. Could it be just my imagination or something called awakening? Im so confused. But yes I was able to sense the cosmic world scents of musk and sandalwood paste. I used to tell my parents, best friend and grandparents but none of them believed me. Except few experts in spirituality. And I was even able to feel the gods speaking to me in dreams subconsciously but everyone called me mad and crazy girl even when I was able to feel divine beings deeply. I cant show proof.

Hi, It seems like this experience is a continuation of what you shared earlier about feeling ungrounded, emotionally overwhelmed and disconnected, and the spiritual sensations you describe may have intensified those same patterns rather than giving relief. When such experiences start affecting focus, daily functioning and your sense of reality, it becomes important to get proper support rather than navigating it alone. A psychologist can help you understand why these feelings became so strong, teach grounding techniques and assess whether stress, anxiety or another condition is contributing, so you can feel stable and connected again.

As someone who deeply believes in spirituality and manifestation, I feel everything in life is interconnected. I see this as guidance, and I’m trying to understand whether this disturbance is simply a phase of inner awakening or if it’s affecting other areas of my life.

Thank you for expressing your experience so clearly. I can understand how deeply these spiritual practices affected you and how real those sensations must have felt. It is not uncommon for individuals who meditate intensely to feel detached or experience changes in perception. These can feel divine, powerful, and transformative — yet they may also become confusing when daily focus and grounding are affected. My intention is not to question your experiences, but to ensure your well-being and mental balance. Sometimes, when the mind becomes too absorbed in inner exploration, it needs additional support to reconnect with the physical world and routine life. Together, we will: • strengthen your grounding and concentration, • help you feel more stable and present, • and understand your spiritual experiences in a healthy and balanced way. I may also suggest a brief medical or psychological assessment — not because something is wrong, but because your experiences have been very strong and it’s important to care for both the mind and the spirit. You are not alone. I am here to support you with dignity, respect, and complete confidentiality. We will move forward step by step, and you will gradually feel clarity and peace returning. Warm regards, Dr. Deepak Dhall Clinical Psychologist (ISAAS – India)

You should consult an expert in both the fields. Be aware of the fake ones and those who might misguide you. Don't share your experiences with anyone or everyone and seek only expert's help and guidance

You are not “crazy” — but your mind was clearly overstimulated and emotionally overloaded, which led to numbness, loss of focus, and difficulty staying present.
Next Steps
Start therapy to help you understand what happened, process the confusion, and rebuild emotional balance. • Consult a psychiatrist if you continue to feel detached, anxious, or experience unusual sensory changes. This helps rule out anxiety-induced dissociation or stress-related episodes.

Meditation or any kind of activity like this makes us calm, focused and peaceful. But in your case it has shifted you from the reality which should not happen. I would recommend you to consult a psychiatrist first with all the details.

It seems to be a disparity between the real world and the cosmic or ideal world. You need to balance both the worlds and shift your paradigm immediately as and when required. Meditation should help you to associate and disassociate as per your needs, when it doesn't then it may lead to few psychological changes like confusion, onboarding of spiritual thoughts and deeds. The changes should settle down on its own but If the symptoms persist for more than 2 months then obviously you are undergoing psychological changes. It needs to be addressed asap otherwise it may get complicated and can affect your cognition and perception. It can be well treated with counseling sessions and homeopathic medicine effectively and without any side effects if required. You need an expert Psychologist who is a good homeopathic physician and spiritual healer.

Hi Deep meditation can, in some people, trigger dissociation or altered states that feel divine but also cause confusion, numbness, and difficulty separating inner experiences from outer reality. That doesn’t make you mad it means your nervous system was under intense strain. What you felt in dreams, scents, and messages may have been your mind trying to make sense of emotional overload. When inner signals become very vivid, they can feel as real as external events, which is why you’re confused now. Instead of judging the experience, it’s more helpful to explore what made you so vulnerable at that time and how to reconnect with the present safely. Therapy can help you understand these states without invalidating the spiritual meaning they hold for you, while also ensuring your mental health stays protected going forward. Take therapy. Hi, What you experienced sounds extremely overwhelming, and it makes sense that you’re feeling confused and ungrounded now. Deep meditation can sometimes intensify emotions, imagination, and inner experiences—especially if practiced without guidance. When these experiences become too strong, they may blur the line between imagination and reality, making you feel disconnected, numb, or unsure of what is actually happening around you. Your feelings are valid, but when spiritual experiences start affecting daily functioning, focus, or emotional stability, it’s important to look at them with care and support.
Next Steps
I would strongly suggest consulting a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist who can help you understand what you’re going through. This doesn’t mean your experiences are “wrong,” but it helps ensure your mental and emotional well-being is safe and balanced. A professional can help you become grounded again, reduce confusion, and stabilize your thoughts so you can differentiate between inner spiritual experiences and daily reality. With the right guidance, you can feel more centered and in control again.
Health Tips
• Pause all deep or intensive meditation practices for now. • Do grounding activities like walking, connecting with nature, or focusing on breath. • Maintain a normal routine—sleep, meals, work—to bring stability. • Journaling your experiences can help you notice patterns and understand your feelings. • Seek support from a mental health professional even if others didn’t understand you—your inner peace and clarity matter most.

HI, It makes sense that you feel confused — what you went through sounds intense, vivid, and emotionally overwhelming. When someone spends a lot of time in deep meditation or spiritual practices, it can open up experiences that feel profoundly real and meaningful. At the same time, when those experiences start affecting grounding, daily functioning, focus, or your sense of self, it can feel disorienting and even frightening. Many people describe such periods as a “spiritual awakening,” while others see similar experiences as the mind reacting to stress, exhaustion, or emotional needs. Both interpretations can coexist — an experience can feel deeply spiritual *and* be influenced by our inner psychology. What matters most is how it affects your well-being. Feeling disconnected from yourself, unable to focus, or sensing things that others can’t verify are signs that you might benefit from grounding support — not because you’re “crazy,” but because your mind and body went through something very intense. You’re not alone, and you’re not wrong for trying to make sense of it. Talking with a mental health professional who respects spiritual experiences can help you understand what happened without dismissing your beliefs or feelings, and it can give you tools to feel stable and connected again.

Hi...There are two sides of it. Whether it is a spiritual experience being perceived as a psychological dysfunction. Or is it a psychological dysfunction being perceived as a spiritual experience. For you, it is best to seek answer in both domains. If you believe this a spiritual experience, please visit a verified and genuine spiritual teacher to find answers. This is hard to find because there are so many fake spiritual practioners all around. If you feel, this might be some psychological dysfunction which may be creating this spiritual experience, it is best you visit a Psychiatrist or a Psychologist. Based on their assessment, you can seek treatment ahead. From a scientific point of view, I must tell you that all experiences are in some way psychological and brain/mind has a power to generate extraordinary experiences which are studied in various domains like psychiatry, neurochmistry, neurobiology, psychology or para-psychology etc. In your case, there are good chances that you are dealing with a psychotic experience which may be a result of prolonged trauma, distress, lack of support & guidance, or may be a psychiatric disorder. You must seek professional help to understand and overcome you present condition.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist for a Medical Diagnosis. Consult a Psychologist when Counselling or Psychotherapy will be effective. Psychoeducation along with Supportive Counselling and Personal Guidance is required.

Deep spiritual experiences can shake our experience of ourselves and the world. Many people report unusual experiences while meditating and feel a deep impact of them. Just know that you are not alone. The fact that the experience has had a lasting impact says that something deeper is going on and needs to be evaluated in conjunction with your past history. Consult to find out if something else is going on and to get more clarity. You talk of this as if it is in the past - is it something you are not experiencing anymore? It can be isolating to tell people something and not have them believe it or call you crazy.

I think what you're experiencing is a kind of confusion as to what is real and what is not based on your experiences and what others are telling you. And there is a concern in balance- of the 3D World we currently live in and the other world as you mentioned. You need to work with a therapist to distinguish if what you're thinking is intuition or problematic thoughts. I really understand that not everyone can understand your situation or your experiences but I will do my best to be able to help you with your reality.
Next Steps
Consult a clinical psychologist and try to understand your inner world and your thoughts.
