Hello practo user
I can understand your concerns regarding your son's health and well being . Some negative stressful event can be contributing to these distressing symptoms of social isolation , disturbed sleeping patterns and feelings of irritability towards everyone . You can suggest him to try and talk to some close family member or friend whom he can share things with . You can try and ask him to practice deep breathing and meditation as it helps clear the mind . Regular exercise and health lifestyle can also contribute to positive change . For regularisation of sleep ask him to limit his phone time at night , avoid heavy meals and caffeine in the evening , taking a warm bath and drinking relaxing tea can also help . It is suggested that you consult a clinical psychologist for a further evaluation and formulation of a personalized treatment plan through regular counseling sessions. You can also reach out to me through the practo app for any further help or guidance.

Dear Sir
Feeling low, lack of interest, isolating himself, disturbed sleep and appetite can all be symptoms of depression. Please take your son to a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation to understand what is happening. I am certain he will be better with right treatment and support.
Thanks
Regards
Dr Ankita Mishra
Probably he's stressed out because of something. We need to have a chat with him. Unless he opens up and we get to know more it's hard to comment

Hi Sir/ Mam
Thanks for seeking help here.
The things you mentioned here are the symptoms of anxiety and depression. Which usually noted when there is a stressor. I need to convey you that he is not suffering from depression or anxiety disorder but if this continues like this for prolong period he will land there.
Discuss with your son without blaming him. Show affection than your upset mood. He is currently in a situation where he needs help...
This situation in adolescents usually noted after bullying, break up, ragging ....
She definitely need some support...check about any substance use behaviour....
Happy to help you...
