Hey,
Confidence is nothing but showing trust in your own abilities. Interviews can be intimidating but showing confidence is a major win at the selection. Your aim at the interview should be to sell your skills to the interviewer and showcase how you perfectly suit the role youâve applied for. Feeling nervous before an interview is quite normal but it shouldnât get in the way. Hence, there are few tricks that make you seem confident like your body language. You should maintain eye contact, have a good posture, and do not fidget. Before taking the interview prepare yourself with all the possible questions that are frequently asked, read about the organization and about the post and make pointers about how you can do justice to that part, make it as original as it can get, and do not give answers from the internet. Preparing yourself also means physically, you should dress the part and choose an outfit that makes you feel comfortable and is appropriate according to the organization. Keep a positive attitude, you cannot ace an interview if youâre going to beat yourself up for every small mistake. Think before you speak, you are allowed to take breaks before answering the questions and collect and gather your thoughts. Lastly, please ask questions to the interviewer, clear your doubts or explain what you expect out of the position before leaving. Just so that they understand that you know what you are there for.
I donât know your profession but most of the professions look for qualities that would add to a company's value and are least bothered with how the person looks or how much they weigh. Hence, before anything you need to learn to love and appreciate the way you look. If you arenât comfortable in your own skin then how do you expect to show confidence in front of strangers who are going to judge you for your skills?
Youâll have to introspect where the fear stems from and if needed please seek professional help. But rejection is a part of life and all of us learn how to deal with it over time, the first time would be very difficult. Like parents reject their child's wishes and they throw tantrums in the beginning but later understand that there are other ways to get things done or that it must be just not meant for them.
Thank you for reaching out. Please feel free to contact us if there are further queries. Take care.
