Hi I am 26 and am at the dentist next weeks to have some fillings done I have a very bad fear of developing an allergic reaction to local anaesthetic and I start to panic and have hot sweats so I never have local anaesthetic when getting dental work done

Hi. Calm yourself down😊.before getting a local anaesthesia... Get a small allergic test done by the dentist before you proceed for the treatment. That way.. You can be sure if you are allergic or not. If not.. You can safely proceed with the treatment. If your test comes out to be positive ...then other possible alternatives can be thought of in your case. 😊

Ask your dentist to do patch test for local anesthesia. If it is positive another type of medicine can be given to achieve painless treatment. Fillings usually do not require local anaesthesia.
