Fasting blood sugar means doing blood sugar test after 8 to 12 hours of over night fast without taking any food or drink .
( water can be consumed )
HbA1c can be done any time of the day fasting is not required in this .

No you need fasting for atleast 8 hrs.you can have sip of water if you feel dehydrated.
