Fasting during Ramadan ( creatinine leve
Hi I am 35 yr old and have a hypertension, 2 months back I was diagnosed with creatinine of 1.75 with urine protein presence +++ , where I was told by doctors to reduce weight, I was 92 then and my current weight is 81. Post this I again tested myself and my creatinine level has come down to 1.57 with Urine protein traces. My question is can I do my Ramadan fasting, will it increase my creatinine level

Better to avoid fasting since dehydration can worsen the kidney function and also lead to kidney stones.

Hi During your fast there may be slight changes in serum creatinine level however that won’t affect your kidneys per se. Avoid dehydration. At Suhoor and Iftar keep yourself hydrated and consume vegetables and fruits more than meat.
