Facial redness
Hello doctor I suddenly get little redness on my cheeks followed by few itchy red spots...after that even when i use yogurt or aloe vera on my skin it turns even redder. ...i have to apply desonide lotion sometimes for 1 or 2 hours to make that redness and spots go away. .. This redness usually comes when i feel dry skin around my cheeks ..i have got very fair complexion and this redness destroys my self confidence...i dont use desonide regularly. ..but only when needed that to for 2 hours only...then i wash my face...and it turns absolutely okay.. Plz suggest some reasons and cure for this redness ..

1. Refrain from using home made remedies like yogurt. They usually irritate the skin than give relief 2. Who may I ask asked you to use desonide lotion? AVOID using steroids on your face without a dermatologist's advise. They give temporary relief but long term damage happens which at times can be irreversible. 3. You can use sunscreens half hour before you sun exposure. But I personally feel that you should visit a dermatologist and get yourself diagnosed. There are many reasons for redness. The doctor will help you understand why it is happening and Will not only treat but guide you on how to control it. There is no quick fix solution. Skin treatment takes time. So give it some time. You will definitely see results

Facial redness could point towards certain specific diseases. Kindly see a Dermatologist who may order a few blood tests to make sure there is no systemic involvement. For temporary relief you can start using broad spectrum sunblocks. Long term usage of topical steroids is not warranted.
