Facial pain
I am facing a strange problem. It started with burning pain under my left eye. At the end of a day it spread all around my left eye, cheek bones, bone under the eyebrow, under the eye, corner of the eye, almost entire left side of the face, mostly in the bones. Taking steam and hot compress helps temporarily. Its been 2 days but the burning pain persists. I don't wish to visit a doctor given the current situation. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

There are two possibilities for your symptoms one is herpes infection, which usually starts with some vague pain or burning or abnormal sensation followed by appearance of rash, other possibility could be trigeminal neuralgia. Herpes infection usually subside by itself within a week but if that is there it means your immunity has gone down recently due to some reason.
Next Steps
Wait and observe for few more days, if rash appears and involves the eye lid then you may require treatment with antiviral medications, if a week passes and no rash appears then you consider consulting a neurologist to get evaluated for trigeminal neuralgia.
