How often eye pressure be monitored in newly diagnosed glucoma? I have been prescribed drop and asked for next month for evaluation? Is one month time ok or even shorter interval is required for evaluation?

Hi ..I think , you should take a second opinion about glaucoma ...nowdays seeing too many over diagnosed Glaucoma . It is a life long commitment to treatment , so please be sure ...from a glaucoma specialist , if possible or Instititional set up. In glaucoma ..the treatment and follow up regimen is not one fits all, it is individualized, so cant tell how often ...unless I see reports

We need to wait for atleast 3 weeks to know the effect of any newly started antiglaucoma drop. That's the threshold period. So getting your IOP checked after 1 month is perfect.
