Eye operation
Hi doctors. am due for an operation in a weeks time. I saw in my medical record its called "le phaco , synachiae release" what does it entail.is it painful?how long is the operation done?is it done under general anaeshesia?please help me understand as I am unable to reach my surgeon.he is overseas and will travel only to operate on me

Hello A. It is not painful B. It may take 15-20 minutes C. It is done under local anaesthesia

It is done under local anaesthesia. It's breaking of adhesions of iris with lens and is anot a painful procedure.
