Eye inflammation. At the same time!

Hi doctor, I wanted to ask about my eye problem it all  started just a week ago I was feeling some itching  and the very next day I found small bump beneath the upper skin of my left eye at first I thought it's stye and will heal itself within few days by just giving warm compressions but it's been a week now the bump has grown larger and its itchy I am very much concerned about my eye please guide me what shall I do... Although I have already approached doctor nearby my locality she prescribed me some medicines along with eye drops but she also said it will not heal within 5 days then we will have to perform some basic procedure to extract the pus and will bandage ur eye for nearly 5 to 6 hours Please tell me what should I do I am confused and terrified at the same time
