My eye have got hit by a stone and it has developed eye infecton.when I visited a doctor, samll fragment of the stone is removed and I was given some antibiotic drops. Is this infection same as conjuctivitis? Is it contagious?

No its not contagious usually. What drops have they started? How are you feeling now? Usually the infection is because of the foreign body so once it has been removed we augment antibiotic drops to prevent worsening of symptoms and quicker relief.
