Eye glass : CYL and AXIS
Sir, What is CYL and AXIS in Eye glass. How it affect eye vision or something else. As I have gone through two eye store then their power is almost similar but these two has a lot. Please tell me how is it. Thanks, thanks for reading and please suggest me for the same.

you must be aware that a sphere has 360 degrees. when the number is equal at all angles. it is called spherical. but if it is more or less at a particular angle  that is known as cylindrical error. as the glass is a part of cylinder rather than a part of sphere as in spherical.

Already described in detail by Dr Goel sir. SPH means SPHERICAL CYL means CYLINDER AXIS means AXIS at which cylinder is prescribed SPH is your power at all axis (360 degress) CYL is your power at perticular AXIS (I.e. 120, 180 etc)
