Though the amblyopia can be treated best upto the age of 12 or 13 yrs but in some cases satisfactory response has been observed in some cases . I have dozens of such patients in my clinic.
Please share the detailed history and visual status without glasses and with glasses. And treatment recieved so far.
Hello. I presume you mean eye exercises in the form of vision therapy.
Depending on how severe the amblyopia is (meaning how badly the vision in that eye is affected) giving a trial of vision therapy maybe an option for mild cases.
Usually if amblyopia is dense (meaning severe), and has set in since childhood, and if the child is more than 8-10yrs of age, chances of improvement are not so great.
Next Steps
Discuss the level of severity with your eye specialist to get an idea if it will help to do vision therapy.
Health Tips
We have visiom therapy at our clinic. However, due to the lockdown currently of course this is not an option. Once things settle down, you can pay us a visit if required for us to further evaluate.
