Excisional biopsy of thyroid tissue.
I just had an excisional biopsy on what my doctors believed was an enlarged lymphnode, because I have DLBCL. It turns out it was either a parathyroid gland or piece of thyroid tissue (my mom doesn't remember what they said exactly) The size was 1.5 cm. I feel very upset by this. Is this removal likely to cause issues with my hormones later or function of my thyroid or parathyroid?

Normally we have 4 parathyroid glands 2 on right side and 2 on left side Removal of one parathyroid or removal of some thyroid tissue may not cause serious hormonal issues.U can consult an endocrinologist for further testing
