You may be suffering from telogen hair loss. This condition can be caused due to many reasons. The resting hair are called telogen hair. Any stress to the body can make these hair fall rapidly. Since you have an oily scalp, excessive oiliness is also one of the reasons for increased hairloss. Oiliness usually reduces in summers or sunny climate. You could use a ketoconazole containing shampoo to wash your scalp weekly 2 to 3 days to reduce the oiliness. There are non medicated shampoos also available in general stores or cosmetic shops as oil control shampoos. If your hairloss is not reducing in a month even after using an oil control shampoo, you could visit a dermatologist who will evaluate the other causes of telogen hair loss. These include iron deficiency, biotin deficiency, B12 deficiency, hormonal imbalances, mental stress, certain medicines and diseases affecting the scalp. Treatment of the cause helps in correcting the hairloss in 1 to 3 months. Warm regards. Dr. Rajdeep Mysore. Chirag Hospital Bangalore
