One of my friend just visited a gynaecologist and she suggested to go for an ultrasound. The result showed that there is excess free fluid in pouch of douglas. What does this mean?

Free fluid n POD cn be there due to a lot of reasons like infection , PID , ectopic pregnancy , at time of ovulation etc.
