Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. I understand your concern. Morning vomiting in children can be distressing and may occur due to stomach irritation, reflux, or other digestive issues. General Advice: Give small sips of water in the morning instead of forcing food; try bland, light breakfast foods like toast or banana. Avoid heavy, greasy, or spicy foods at dinner and maintain regular meal timings. Observe any triggers, such as stress, sleeping position, or certain foods. What to monitor / when to worry: Track frequency, color, and consistency of vomit. Monitor weight and growth patterns. Note any associated symptoms like abdominal pain, fever, or lethargy. Medicine (if safe to mention): Probiotics can be continued, but avoid over-the-counter anti-nausea medications without doctor supervision. When to consult a doctor immediately: Projectile vomiting, blood in vomit, or persistent vomiting causing dehydration. Severe abdominal pain, persistent fever, or lethargy. Weight loss or failure to gain weight appropriately. If your symptoms persist or worsen, I strongly recommend consulting a Pediatric Gastroenterologist for proper evaluation and treatment. You can connect with me directly on Practo or reach me on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a more personalized consultation. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
