High BP to low BP with use of alpha lipoic acid and amitriptyline for polyneuropathy. Prior to that was having the same "waking" sickness. Once started tracking BP, it showed big dips in the mornings when these would occur (87/45, 82/48, etc.). It's possible it's all autonomic, but also happened while hypokalemic. Submitted my logs to my GP but has yet to respond and I'm worried about these sudden dips out of nowhere right after I wake up. I thought BP was supposed to rise in the morning.
