Epididymis Pain
Hi, Since January I began to develop a pain in my right testis and soon I consulted an urologist and ran USG scrotum, it came out as mild orchitis. I took 14 days, antibiotics but didn't feel better than I consulted another urologist who told me to go for an USG again. I went for the test again and this time it showed chronic epididymis Pathology. It's been 5 months now but the pain is still there even after taking two courses of antibiotics, first one for two weeks and then for three weeeks. Still, I feel tenderness in my right testis and feel like a swollen epididymis. I am really confused now but yes the pain is now mild but it persists amd it comes and goes. With that pain, I now have pain radiating till my thigh and numbness in my right leg sometimes. The pain relieves when I masturbate or have sex but thr pain comes back when I sit idle. Kindly, help.

Hello. Chronic epididymitis is difficult to treat. Because of the blood testis barrier ( to promote sperm formation) infections treated by antibiotics are difficult to treat. As they cannot reach the testis . So 2/3 week antibiotic may be inadequate. I would suggest you get the following test done, share a picture of both your testicles and follow the advice as mentioned below
Next Steps
Urine r/m and culture
Health Tips
Scrotal support Sit in hot water bath twice daily Tab chymotrypsin 1 tab TDS
