It is done under sedation. That means you will be given an injection which will put you to sleep for 2 hours.
It is done under direct vision. That means the instrument will be introduced by seeing the passage of the intestines. It will not injure your intestines.

Yes u will b sprayed with anaesthesia in ur throat, during an upper endoscopic procedure, to ease the pain
