Visssane tablet contains dienogest which is a progesterone..
Its a new generation progesterone where weight gain is not significant..
It also does not affect appetite..
Visanne can be taken for nearly 18 months but we generally give it for 4 months at a stretch followed by a withdrawal bleeding & again continue the medication .
