Elevated direct bilirubin level
For the past year, I had 4 LFTs wherein the direct bilirubin is either in border or just above it. (For eg 0.37 when 0.3 is upper limit). All the other liver enzymes are well within normal limits. I used to have whiskey 2-3 times in a week, 100ml per session for some 5 months. After the bilirubin elevation i stopped drinking. Only very occasionally like once in a month now i take 100-120ml. What does my LFT indicate. Should i have a ultrasound scan. Any serious issue is there?
