  3. Elevated ALT & AST. The treatment plans?

Elevated ALT & AST
My friend has been diagnosed with HCV. Her ALT & AST levels are very high being 94 & 122. However I am not sure how to ascertain the diagnosis. Can you please advise me of the steps to be taken and the treatment plans?

Hi there.. hcv ie hepatitis C virus infection is contracted by coming in contact with infected blood or body fluids like having sex wit infected person, pricks from infected needles, blood transfusion, from mother to child.. treatment for hcv is interferon with ribavarin.. make sure patient takes treatment properly as chances of cirrhosis of liver and liver cancer are high with hcv.. prevention of spreading to others by not sharing needles, razor, don't donate blood..
