Ecospirin taper schedule
On 7th day of covid(Jan 21st 2022)I was found to have 150/110 bp at a check up. I am also overweight. I was put on ecospirin 75/10 at night and metwell 25 MG BD. Since last 2 weeks my bp becomes low sometimes during the day and heart rate also drops to 50s,i feel giddy, feel weak and sluggish and dropped 2 kgs since Jan.. so he asked me to take 12.5 mg BD and stop ecospirin. I am nervous about stopping ecospirin suddenly. I would like to know how I can taper it off. Thanks. (I will be going for holter monitoring this week)

You can stop ecosprin if it was just given for precaution after COVID. No need to taper it

Post Covid BP and heartrate changes are very common, symptoms like giddiness fatigue could be due to lower heart rates or blood pressure on the lower side. You need to monitor heart rate and BP regularly to decide whether the adviced drug is adequate or not required. Regarding aspirin, there is no tapering dose and it can be stopped if not required. Kindly share your D dimer levels or any other inflammatory markers that where assessed during Covid.
