Early pregnancy scan

Asked for Female, 27 Years

Did early pregnancy scan and fetus heartbeat is healthy. According to LMP gestational age is 7 weeks 4 days. Fetal age is 6 weeks 2 days. Doctor said there is difference in dates. Though doctor said its normal is there any problem in fetus growth? How does fetal age and GA is calculated?

Hello, variation will be there in gestational age calculated by ultrasound and LMP ,you don't have to worry about it.Because ultrasound can only give estimated age not accurate age . It's used in some woman who don't remember their LMP , if you are sure of your LMP don't worry .Early pregnancy scan is done for confirmation and gestational age estimation .
