Can cough or mucus get accumulated behind the ear drum, resulting in the blocking of ear, that's what I have been told by an ent specialist and I'm taking medicine to remove these mucus and steam inhalation

It is called Glue ear or otitis media with effusion, due to common cold. If it is not resolved with medications it requires a small procedure called myringotomy and grommet insertion

yes possible. it's called as otitis media with effusion. Take steam inhalation two three times a day.
