Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT.
Your symptoms are more suggestive of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis, possibly causing Eustachian tube dysfunction—hence the ear blockage and referred throat symptoms. The persistent DNS on CT can occur post-surgery due to residual or deviated bony-cartilaginous structures.
Regarding the Styloid Process:
Elongated styloid (Eagle’s syndrome) is rare.
Typically causes throat pain, foreign body sensation, or pain on swallowing/turning head, not mucus or ear block alone.
It is a benign anatomical variant, rarely symptomatic unless very elongated and medialized.
Next Steps
Don’t rely on Google differentials too much—they often lead to unnecessary anxiety.
