I am a medical student. Can't convince myself to study or even concentrate. The circumstances has made me hate myself. Could u help? Suffered from recurrent UTI, epididymo-orchitis recently. Still taking nitrofurantoin 12 hourly. Got no one to talk to. Classmates make fun of me because I have DSD. I am dying inside.

While I’m not qualified to help you with your physical conditions and disorders, I want to talk to you about your mental health. You see, it’s all about the attitude. Your attitude towards your circumstances and your unhelpful classmates. If you take their comments as one more dig at yourself, you can’t survive this. If you look at them and be like.. “Okay these people don’t understand my suffering and that it could happen to them too, one day. So they are giggling in their ignorance.” Then instead of personal hurt, you will start having extended compassion. I am not asking you to be a saint and forgive them for all their sins. But doing so is actually in your best interests. It will fill up your heart and stop making you feel empty and lonely. Hope I made sense. Make a complete shift in your attitude and the way you look at it. :)
