Why my mouth and throat is dry? When I liedown I feel like coughing. If I do one cough feels normal. What is the reason?

Mouth and throat dryness could be due to breathing from mouth. Due to a block (congestion in nose -rhinitis) Cough while lying down, is due to nasal drip(secretions of nose) Into the posterior pharynx (back of throat) , which causes irritation of throat and cough.
