Dryness of eyes is due to insufficient secretion of tear which consist of water, lubricant, mucous etc. Dryness is also known as Xerophthalmia which usually happens due to lack of vitamin ‘A’. Additional causes are menopause, rheumatoid arthritis, or structural defect within eyelids. Homoeopath generally treats these cases by considering causes signs, symptoms, modalities, etc. Homoeopaths frequently prescribe medicines like Aconite, Argentum nitricum, Allium cepa, Belladonna, Clematis, Euphresia, Lycopodium, Physositigma, Ruta, Senega, Sticta, Sulphur, etc.
