Menthol sensation in eyes / Cold eyes
My eyes feel cold constantly. I squeeze them continuously and can't keep them open for long. Other forums on the internet refer to it as "menthol sensation in eyes". It feels similar to the cold feeling one gets when acetone evaporates from hand. Air irritates my eyes even more. It's debilitating

This sensation is usually felt with those who have dry eye. You will require false tears to improve the situation. I would advise you to meet an opthalmologist so that you can be examined and the cause of the dry eye can be found and treated accordingly. These steps may help: - Use a humidifier. - Wear glasses instead of contacts. - Take frequent breaks when staring at computer or TV screens. - Sleep for at least eight hours each night. - Avoid exposure to smoke. - Wear sunglasses or a hat. - Drink 3 liters of water per day If the problem persists or worsens visit the opthalmologist at the earliest
