Your problem could be chronic sinusitis leading to post nasal drip and throat irritation...currently you might be having an infection. An antibiotic, antihistamine like levocetrizine with montelukast and some salt water gargles will help. If your problem is recurrent or chronic, then you nerd to be evaluated for sinusitis with a diagnostic nasal endoscopy first followed by a ct scan of the nose and paranasal sinuses.
