Earache you are manifesting is due to the infection travelling to your ear. It's been almost a week now, it's advisable to visit a doctor for your examination proper. Till then, do take steam of plain water, if there is any congestion in your chest, that will be drained off.

Ear ache may be due to eustachian tube congestion, which is a tube connecting ear and throat. Congestion could be due to the infection spreading from throat to the ear. Try steam inhalation five times daily. It should give you relief for your cough and ear ache. Do you have any fever, ear discharge or yellowish phlegm while coughing? If yes, you should consult a Physician.
