You're not supposed to eat/ drink anything other than water while you're wearingnthe retainer. Food will get stuck between the retainer and theteeth and it will lead to cavities. Remove the retainer before drinking the cold coffee, rinse your mouth after you've had the cold coffee and then wear the retainer again. In the night you must brush your teeth before wearing the retainer and sleeping.
