I was diagnosed with Spondyloarthropathies(A+P) about 7 years back.
Initial treatment suggested was steroids, but I felt that I was messing with my mental health, causing severe mood swings. So, it was dropped.
Right now, I am on sulfasalazine for about last 4-5 years. From around the same time, I had some personal problems too, and I started facing some mental health issues, like, doesn't like to communicate with anyone, Overthinking, feeling too low to do anything, etc...
So, my question is - does sulfasalazine causes mental health issues? Or, these mental health issues are independent of it?
