Yes Hypothyroidism can cause loss of libido (reduction of sex drive). Normal TSH level is upto 4mIU/ltr., As yours is 7.9 , it reflects hypothyroid status. You need to continue treatment for long term as well as should have frequent monitoring with thyroid function tests. (T3,T4,TSH levels).
Next Steps
There are various trusted and beneficial methods available to increase and normalise sex drive in Hypothyroidism patients. Kindly consult online on Practo Chat or visit to clinic for further details.
Health Tips
Long standing Hypothyroidism also causes generalised slowing of all metabolic functions in later ages. That's why it should not be ignored and treatment should not be stopped  without doctors advise. However if proper treatment is taken , there is not much reason to worry and patients can live very normal life. Sexologists consultation should be taken to enhance sex drive and normalise sexual life.
