Long standing Hypothyroidism also causes generalised slowing of all metabolic functions in later ages. That's why it should not be ignored and treatment should not be stopped without doctors advise.
However if proper treatment is taken , there is not much reason to worry and patients can live very normal life. Sexologists consultation should be taken to enhance sex drive and normalise sexual life.
