Doctor prescribed Metformin
Hi My doctor prescribed me Glycomet Sr half in day and night. Although my fasting Plasma Glucose is normal along with lipid profile. But i have black skin of underarm, butt and inner thighs. I reduced my weight of 4 kg but still bit overweight My weight is 84 kg and Height is 5'6. Should i take Glycomate ? I don't understand why my doctor prescribed me Glycomate when my reports are normal

You yourself has answered your own question.. You have blackskin in underarms, inner thigh which itself suggest You are Insulin resistance... Glycomet SR(metformin) is a good insulin sensitiser.. It will decrease your insulin resistance also Periods are regular? Are you suffering from PCOS, because metformin is good in PCOS also

Hi check ppbs and HbA1c if HbA1c less than 5.8%,  stop Glycomet using glycomet in prediabetes no harm... it will also help you in weight loss by reducing your hunger..
