Dissolvable Sutures in Perianal region
I underwent Fistula, Perianal abscess surgery 10 days back. It was laser ablation of fistula tract(no external opening, only internal opening) and drainage of abscess. There are dark blue coloured stitches which burns all day and causes irritation. Doctor says it's dissolvable stitches. What can I do to heal myself faster and get it dissolve sooner? Went to follow up yesterday to surgeon who did surgery but he said nothing to be done, just apply Anosum and take prescribed antibiotics. How to identify if sutures are infected? How to dissolve it faster?

It may be vigryl suture. It will dissolve on its own. But it will take time. Do sitz bath 3 times daily And continue the medications

Depends on what type of sutures used. Do sitz bath 2-3times daily for another 2-3weeks. And continue medications as advised by surgeon.
