Dissociative disorder
My wife was suffering with seizers very frequently. For treatment purpose we approached nimhans 5 momths back. They diagnised that the problem is dissociative disorder. And suggested to take 10 mg of amynotryptilline (0dep tablets) everyday during bed time. She was under medication for 6 months. At the time of using aminotryptiline she was perfectly doing well. As there is no problem from 6onths doctor asked to stop tablets. As per doctor advise  she stopped using tablets. After stopping tablets, she is sufferingv with lack of sleep. From past 2 days she is not getting sleep. To get sleep she has even took cloazepam 0.5 mg. Still she is not getting sleep and suffering with headache and weakness. She alslo says that some pictues are scrolling in her mind Request your suggestions ln this issue.

More than medicine family management is important in dissociation to cure it.. Hi Usually the stoping the 10 mg dose don't have much problem, however in your case this is causing discontinuation symptoms, usually in such case going back to the same dose and tapering it slowly will help . Like half the dose for one week or so then stop. For more information you can ask your doctor or same Thanks and regards.
