Dipping HB. Myelo dysplastic syndromes.

Asked for Female, 40 Years

My father has been diagnosed of MDS and there has been no improvement in the HB levels despite treatment. I need to get a clear opinion regarding next steps. Request you to treat this as urgent. Thank you

Hi Treatment for MDS depends on risk category. MDS is very heterogenous disease and would require tailor made therapy for individuals. Several factors like HB, WBC COUNT , Platelet count, blast percentage and genetic studies are involved in the decision making.
