Different colours of stool
My baby who is 2 years and 9 months old and weighs 14.75 kg. On day before yesterday he had fever and had potty four times, within 5-6 hours. He was not able to sleep at night because of pain in stomach. Yesterday We consulted with our family doctor and he advised few medicines which helped us to get relieved from fever, however his stool movement was not normal. From today morning he is passing blood with his potty, and sometimes colour of potty changes, sometimes it looks like white and sometimes it's greenish. We performed a test of potty and we are sharing the test results. Medicines prescribed by our doctor are as follows: 1. O2M - Ofloxacin and Metronidazole 2. Vigilac 3. Neopeptine 4. Decolic and today he advised us to give baby Bandy plus. Please provide us proper solution and whether the medicines can cure the existing condition..?

This is dysentery. Continue oral antibiotics. If the bleeding persists, need to get admitted. Add zinc syrup and probiotics. Keep the child hydrated.

It’s dysentery, nothing to worry as u already started antibiotics. Keep the child well hydrated and avoid fried foods, carbonated drinks, ice creams and junk food. Add syrup zinconia to the current medication Syrup Zinconia 5ml once daily for 15 days

The stool report shows mucus, blood, pus cells and RBCs, suggesting intestinal infection. Since your child has passed visible blood in stool, he should remain under the care of your treating pediatrician. Ensure adequate fluids/ORS and monitor urine output. Stool color may vary during diarrhea. If blood in stool increases, fever persists, vomiting develops, severe abdominal pain occurs, or the child becomes less active or drinks poorly, please seek urgent medical review. Kindly continue treatment as advised by your doctor and follow up for reassessment if symptoms do not improve within 24–48 hours.
