Diaper rashes
Went for consultation for redness in baby's bottom.advised to use cotton cloth , apply siloderm ointment and have a diaper free time.
After a week the redness started to worsen and scaling of skin around the anus.baby passes stool for a day around 20 times in meager quantity.Because of repetition of stools presence around anus unable to keep the area dry . We clean the area using water and dry with cotton towel.

Frequent passage of small amount of stools after feeds is normal in newborns. You can use diaper, but don't rub the bum area while cleaning. Use cotton balls and pat dry. Apply a thick layer of any rashfree cream with each diaper change. It can be fungal rash as well- that needs to be examined by your pediatrician.
