Diagnosed with vestibular Disorder

Hi, I'm diagnosed with vestibular Disorder on both sides. Really what does it means..?? Some times I feel dizzy and vomiting sensation.. How to aviod this.. Prescribed with Amitriptyline 10Mg for a month Please advice
