Diabetes??
My father's weight is low as compared to other people of same age .Today one doctor said that may be he is suffering from diabetes and after checking sugar level was 429 But no person of my family has diabetes from generation.He has no symptom of diabetes rather than weight loss. What should I do?

The sugar levels are very high. He might be underweight because of underlying diabetes. In case he has been always underweight, it goes more in favour of Lean type 2 or LADA (types of diabetes). 1) Confirm the diagnosis by doing blood sugar again. Preferably fasting sugar 2) Get back with the reports so that appropriate drugs can be started based on his lab values

yes, such high sugars indicate diabetes. more and more people in india are becoming diabetic without family history because of our dietary habits,sedentary lifestyle and environmental pollution.
