Excessive consumption of sugary food and carbohydrate increases fat accumulation.
These fat pads over body change the receptors inside and cause insulin resistance over time to cause type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Yes its linked to genetics as well. But unhealthy lifestyle is more than diet.
