DHS failure and spacer surgery
DHS surgery failed and due to major infection hip joint replacement was not possible.implant removal and spacer surgery took place. Even Now i am on complete bed rest and their is no SLR movement on the operated side.the doctors have advised for 3 months bed rest before replacement operation. I want to know is this bed rest for so long normal ? i am on piperacilin and tazobactum injection from the past 30 days(8 hourly) and still the esr is 110.is this normal ?

It is better to wait till the infection is totally gone. If there is tolerable pain you can start Non weight bearing cruch walk
