I do packless Endoscopic Nasal Surgery. Unlike what the other inexperienced ENT Surgeon told you, in packless nasal surgery, instead of stuffing your nostrils with endless ribbons of gauze, silicone splints with airway are placed in both your nostrils which serve the same purpose but allow you to breathe through both your nostrils postoperatively. Better cosmesis is also achieved and since it does its job gently, the postoperative pain is also significantly less.
Next Steps
I have more than 20 years of patients who have undergone this procedure who will vouch my words.

Packless means without packing the nasal cavity. So to brief, packing the nasal cavity is important after septoplasty because otherwise blood may accumulate after operation in septum and it may cause complication. So go for septoplasty and packing the nasal cavity
