CR is control relase preparation. It's action remain same whole period. Without CR means instant dissolved ones

Controlled release tablets are absorbed more slowly than conventional tab and produce more stable serum levels. They can be dosed less frequently when compared to normal preparations. Other than that there is no difference between normal and controlled preparations
