I understand your situation. You seem to be suffering from adjustment problems with depressive symptoms. However more clarity is needed regarding your problem. Information regarding your sleep, hunger, energy levels and concentration at whatever you do would be more helpful to decide on the severity of your condition. Don't worry it is not your fault, it is the hormonal fluctuations in your body which is taking a toll on your mental health. It is easily manageable with appropriate treatment, so that dysfunction due to the same can be reduced and your quality of life will improve. Some counselling sessions and if needed medical help might be useful for you. I suggest you discuss your issues with a psychiatrist in your medical college hospital. I would also be more than happy to help you with that if you are looking for online assistance. Discussions will be held confidential. You can directly consult with me through Practo as needed. Online chat consultation is available.

Happiness is relative. At times we tend to look over our “happy moments “. It’s great that you’re in your dream branch. You’re in your first year and everything may feel new, exciting and at times challenging. Firstly consult a psychiatrist in person or online for detailed evaluation. Feeling sad at times is normal so is feeling less motivated. Knowing your schedule may help us in deciding what changes to make if necessary.
